Summary |
¨ Background and overview of Federal and State laws about discrimination.¨ Discuss the impact of discrimination in the workplace.¨ Reinforcement of importance of following internal policies and procedures to report and manage any issues that arise.Cancellation fees will be charged for notice given by client less than 24 hours prior to commencement of training at the discretion of Stein Consulting. Stein Consulting’s standard cancellation charge is 40%. Should Consultant postpone due to illness or personal factors less than 24 hours prior to commencement of training, training will be rescheduled and Company will have a 10% discount on the rescheduled training session. |

This is a one-hour workshop that sets the background for discrimination laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. We review Federal and California State laws regarding workplace discrimination and harassment, and discuss how to avoid or manage complaints. This workshop is designed to create an understanding of the basis for these laws and how they impact us in today’s workplace. We talk about how discrimination feels and the ethics of treating people equally and fairly. |
